Actually there is no difference between DLED TV and LED TV.
DLED is a type of LED TV’s only.
The thing is that led tv can be categorised into 2 types:
- Direct led (dled)
- Edge lit box.
DLED type
Pros:
- led panel on back side of screen
- But uniform brightness throughout
Cons:
- More LEDs required
- Costlier
- Thicker than edgelit
EDGELIT type
Pros
- Requires less LEDs (if dled will require 800 LEDs than edgelit will only require 100)
- Cheaper than DLED
- Thinner than DLEDs (DLED requires 2 to 4 inch thickness whereas edgelit requires 1-2 inch)
Cons
- Non uniform brightness (brighter on edge and dimmer in middle)
- More bigger the TV, more problems with its brightness

Now, the technology which is better than LED is OLED
Pros
- Can generate its own light which is not there in LED
- Every pixel can generate its own light ( in LEDs, 1 led is for more than 1 pixels)
- Amazing colour contrast ratio (infinity:1)
- Can generate true colours and colours can be separated to pixel level.
- Thinner than LED tv
- Reduces electricity cost
Cons
- Costly (price increase to 1.5 to 2 times)
Technology which is more advanced than this is QUANTAM DOT. This is the latest technology but it is highly expansive.

Lately, there is MICROLED coming out.

- Higher brightness (30 times than OLED produces
- Reduces energy requirement
